Honda Cars India has just given us a glimpse of the upcoming new generation Amaze sedan with its first design sketch, building excitement as it gears up for a potential launch by December 2024. Known for blending affordability with Honda’s renowned reliability, the Amaze has been a popular choice in the subcompact sedan segment since its debut. This new version promises a refreshed look inside and out, complete with updated features and design enhancements that bring it in line with Honda’s current lineup.
Design language of New Honda Amaze
Rumor has it that the new Amaze will share an upgraded platform with the Honda City, while still fitting within the sub-four-metre category. Expect to see redesigned front and rear profiles, updated headlamps and tail lamps, and a fresh set of alloy wheels that add a touch of sophistication. The cabin, meanwhile, could take cues from the City, with a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a modernized interior theme aimed at elevating the in-car experience.
Engine and Transmissions
Under the hood, the Amaze will stick with its tried-and-tested 1.2-liter petrol engine, delivering 89 bhp and 110 Nm of torque, with options for both a five-speed manual and a CVT. Once it hits the market, the new Amaze will be ready to compete against its long-standing rivals, including the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor, keeping the subcompact sedan segment lively and competitive.
